Policies | Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find a list of commonly asked questions and policies. If you have any additional questions, please contact me and I can answer them for you.
How should I prepare for my session?
-
Be Present - as much as you can be present with your body and your mind. What thoughts do you notice? Do they make you tense anywhere in the body? Are you holding onto any thoughts or emotions? Do you want to be in your body right now? Today? What may be preventing you from fully inhabiting your body more? See if you can do something like deep breathing, a walk, or a shower to help you be a little more present in your body.

-
Arrive Early - you can sit in your car, or come sit in the space and begin to slow the mind and relax the body. The more relaxed you can be, the more you will get out of your massage.
-
Hygiene - as always, maintaining good hygiene is helpful before attending a session. If you have time, shower, and do not apply any body oil, lotions or creams unless medically required.
-
Communication - the more you communicate during intake the more I will be able to help tailor the session to fit your needs for each session.
-
Breathe - deep breathing will help you relax and the session to become deeper, more effective and last longer.
-
Hydrate - to flush out toxins and replenish the body with what it needs to operate. This is especially important to do after receiving a massage.
-
Repetition - is key to maintaining health. The way we get optimal and lasting results is to be consistent, so that the work builds off of each session.
Is there parking available?
There are visitor parking spaces in the parking lot, and free parking along the street near by.
Do you take credit cards? Checks? Venmo?
Yes, I currently accept credit cards and debit cards, but I do not accept checks. I also accept electronic payment via PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, etc.
What do I do if I am sick?
If you are sick or currently dealing with any active transmittable/transferable illness, please reschedule your session instead of coming in. Many think that massage can help them get through their cold, flu or viral outbreak, but it can put me and my clients at risk for catching your germs. If you come to a session and are ill, I will ask that you leave and reschedule for another day. Please do not take it personally; take the time to rest and get well.
Cancellation Policy
My cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance. This policy is set to support and respect my time and the time of my clients. Half of the full fee for the service will be incurred for no-shows or sessions canceled less than 24 hours in advance. Thank you for your understanding.
Sliding Scale
I offer 3 sliding scale spots a month for people who are in need. The openings are on a first-come first serve basis. To apply, fill out the application form here.
Draping
Proper draping techniques during your session will meet the highest standards in the industry. Draping consists of full client coverage with sheets, blanket, and towels. I am trained to move the draping in such a way as to allow full access to the muscles without exposing all other areas of the body. Draping can be augmented throughout your session to ensure your personal comfort. It is my goal to ensure your experience during the session is comfortable. If there is anything that would make you more comfortable during the session, please feel free to let me know.
How Do I Book An Appointment?

Do you sell Gift Cards / eGift Cards?
